glTF is the format the web agreed on: a JSON scene description with geometry and textures either alongside it or embedded. This viewer renders it with physically based materials and studio lighting, in your own browser. A .gltf that points at separate texture files needs those files embedded — export as .glb if you want one self-contained file.

How to open a glTF file

Questions
What is the difference between glTF and GLB?
They hold the same scene. .gltf is JSON, usually with textures and geometry in separate files next to it; .glb packs all of it into one binary file. GLB is the one to send to someone else.
My .gltf loads without textures. Why?
Because the textures are separate files the browser was never handed. Re-export as .glb, or as a .gltf with embedded resources, and they travel with it.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. It is read and rendered by your own browser and never leaves your machine. You can disconnect from the internet once the page has loaded and the viewer still works.
