Questions
How do I set the scale on a floor plan?
Drag a line over something whose real length you know and type it in — a wall dimension printed on the drawing, a door at 900 mm, or the scale bar. Everything else is calculated from that one reference, and the resulting scale is shown on screen so you can sanity-check it before you trust an area.
How accurate is it?
As accurate as your reference and your clicking. A flat scan or a CAD export measures well; a photo of a plan taken at an angle does not, because the perspective distorts distances differently across the page. Scan it flat, or photograph it square on.
Can I measure a PDF plan?
Not directly — export the page as PNG or JPG first, at the highest resolution your PDF tool offers, then drop that here. PDF support is the change we hear about most and it is on the list.
Which units can it show?
Square metres, square feet or square centimetres, switched at any time — the reference you typed can be in metric or imperial regardless, so a plan calibrated with a 10 ft wall can be read in m2.
